- Do I need any special equipment to take training?
No, just a keyboard, mouse, speakers and a computer connected to the Internet. You also need Adobe® Flash™ Player 6.0 or higher installed on your computer. If your computer doesn’t have this video graphic program, you can download it for free from the Adobe Player Download Center.
- How long will it take to complete the lessons?
With a high-speed Internet connection, Lessons generally take from 25 to 30 minutes to complete. Mini-Lessons take 7 to 10 minutes. Our training works best with a high-speed connection. It will also work with a dial-up connection, but will result in longer times to complete each session.
- What is your training like?
Each lesson is delivered over the Internet and features a narrated presentation consisting of animated pages. Many of these are interactive, asking trainees to make driving choices and then showing you the results. Lessons generally include one or two intermediate review quizzes, and a 10-question multiple-choice test.
- How many times can I take a lesson?
You can take a lesson through to successful completion only once. If the lesson includes a test, you can return to it as many times as it takes until you score a passing grade. Once you’ve passed the test, or completed a lesson that doesn’t include a test, you can access each lesson for 30 days from completion.
- What if I can’t complete the lesson once I’ve started?
That’s OK. Our training offers book-marking capabilities. You can stop in the middle of any lesson, log off the site and return later to the same place where you left off.
- How much time do I have to complete a lesson before it expires?
Lessons expire one year after the date of purchase. Until the expiration date you can access uncompleted lessons at any time. Check with your training administrator about any required completion dates.
- Do I get a certificate of completion?
Yes. At the successful completion of any lesson, you’ll be able to download and print a customized certificate. Mini-Lessons don't offer certificates.
- Will you keep a record of my assignments and completed training?
Yes. Our site creates a record that displays every lesson assigned, purchased, opened or completed with the corresponding dates. Each time you visit the site, you’ll be taken right to your personal training log.
- Is the training compatible with Apple computers?
Yes, our training operates perfectly with the Apple Safari browser.
- What do I do if I can't get the training to work?
If you are having trouble with taking courses, please follow these steps below to resolve the issue: First, clear your browser's temporary internet files (also known as cache), then try again. The second step is to reinstall the Adobe Flash Player on your computer. You can find this download for free on the internet. Then, try again.
