TransUnion and Embark Safety Partner to Expand MVR Monitoring

Partnership enables TransUnion customers to add continuous MVR Monitoring while gaining access to complementary driver compliance, safety, and training solutions from Embark Safety.
Embark Safety, a provider of driver risk management and MVR Monitoring solutions, today announced a new partnership with TransUnion that will provide TransUnion customers — including consumer reporting agencies (CRAs) and background screening providers — access to Embark Safety’s MVR Monitoring solution and a broader suite of driver risk management services. The partnership is designed to make it easier for CRAs to add continuous driver monitoring to their existing screening portfolios while expanding the safety, compliance, and training solutions they can offer their customers.
For many CRAs, motor vehicle records are traditionally delivered as a point-in-time screening product during hiring or through periodic rechecks. Continuous MVR Monitoring extends that value by providing more timely visibility into reportable driver-record changes. Through this partnership, TransUnion customers can leverage Embark Safety’s MVR Monitoring solution as a recurring service that complements their existing MVR and background screening offerings, while also accessing additional tools that support ongoing driver safety and compliance.
The result is a stronger driver risk management offering for employers and fleet operators, while giving CRAs an additional way to deepen customer relationships and expand the services they provide without having to build a monitoring program from the ground up.
Embark Safety’s MVR Monitoring solution includes:
- Continuous MVR monitoring and timely alerts following reportable driver-record changes
- Configurable driver risk scoring to help prioritize higher-risk drivers
- Dashboards and reporting that provide greater visibility into driver risk
- Centralized documentation and compliance tools that support ongoing driver oversight
In addition to MVR Monitoring, TransUnion customers will also have access to Embark Safety’s complementary driver risk management services, including:
- CSA Monitoring for ongoing visibility into carrier safety performance
- Telematics integrations that can incorporate behavioral safety events and related driver-risk data
- DQF Manager for centralized driver qualification file management and compliance
- Online Driver Training to support coaching, corrective action, and ongoing safety education
“TransUnion works with many organizations that already help employers make informed screening and risk decisions,” said Edwin Sosa, CEO of Embark Safety. “By combining that reach with Embark Safety’s MVR Monitoring solution and broader driver risk management capabilities, we can help CRAs extend their driver screening programs beyond a point-in-time MVR and offer ongoing monitoring, compliance, telematics and training services. That creates additional value for their customers while giving employers more timely and complete visibility into driver risk.”
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to helping CRAs and the organizations they serve move from periodic driver screening toward more continuous, proactive driver risk management. By making MVR Monitoring available alongside CSA Monitoring, telematics integrations, DQF management and online driver training, the partnership gives TransUnion customers a broader set of solutions they can use to support their clients throughout the driver lifecycle.
